Solar Topology Diagnostics

For AC-Coupled Solar Users: If your solar panels connect to a separate inverter rather than directly to the battery inverter, your setup is "AC-coupled". Some providers expose that production in a meter or generation channel instead of a PV field. Use these tools to identify which telemetry source represents your solar production.
AC Solar Source Mapping
Save a per-user override when your AC-coupled solar appears in a telemetry field such as meterPower2.
Per-user override
Leave this blank unless you need an explicit mapping. The list starts with common candidates and gets richer after you run variable discovery or live diagnostics.
1. Run live diagnostics Click Get All Real-Time Data while solar is producing.
2. Check the recommendation The panel suggests the most likely field, usually meterPower2.
3. Save only if needed Use a manual mapping only when auto-detect is wrong for your firmware.
How to Use These Diagnostics

Step 1: Click "Discover Available Variables" to see what data your device exposes.

Step 2: During solar production hours (midday), click "Get All Real-Time Data".

Step 3: Check the "API Response" panel above for:

  • pvPower - DC-coupled solar (normal setup)
  • meterPower and meterPower2 - Meter channels (may be AC-coupled solar)
  • batChargePower - Battery charging rate
  • gridConsumptionPower - Grid import

Analysis: If pvPower ≈ 0 but battery is charging and no grid import, energy comes from AC-coupled solar (check which meterPower* has positive value).

Next Step: Share the output with support to configure the correct solar source.
